We Need Prophetic Churches
Increasingly, hungry believers are gravitating towards local communities of worship that promote themselves as churches that are prophetic. What exactly is a prophetic church and why is it important to attend one? Having the gifts of the sprit, namely prophesy in operation is not the sole qualifying characteristics of a prophetic community.
When we prioritize the presence of God and allow the voice and ministry of Holy Spirit to touch every aspect of body life, we are well on our way to establishing a prophetic foundation upon which to build. As we examine the prophetic cultures that emerge from these churches we discover some common traits that define them. It serves us well to pursue them as they are crucial to creating a truly authentic habitation of the Spirit that honors every participant.
